The images produced are more like a fresh, glossy photo than an old ID badge. In traditional dye sublimation printers, cards and ribbon come in direct contact with the printhead, which can create poor image quality and may cause damage to the printhead. In contrast, there is no direct printhead contact with the HDP5000 duplex ID card printer. The process entails printing your images on HDP film that is then fused to your card via heat and pressure, making the finished product flawless.
HDP film provides additional benefits of durability and protection for your cards! The film acts as a buffer from everyday wear and tear and is tamper-evident, so if a counterfeiter attempts to peel apart the layers, the image will be destroyed.
