Use Case 1

COVID-19 Response

In the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, New York State was among the hardest-hit areas in the world. Hospitals were overflowing with patients, and there weren’t enough health care professionals to address the medical needs of the many afflicted people in local communities. New York turned to IdenX to address this crisis.

We leveraged our database to help combat the widespread shortage of frontline healthcare workers. This process involved:

  • Identifying qualified healthcare workers not currently working in the industry
  • Contacting them via text message
  • Validating their credentials and certifications

Assigning healthcare workers as emergency medical personnel to COVID-19 hotspots w
orking for the State of New York, we contacted 145,000 healthcare professionals in New York State and 50,000 in New Jersey, of which 5,320 ultimately volunteered for assignment to surging hospitals. And all without charging a dollar.

This initiative soon spread to Massachusetts, Louisiana, California, Texas, and Missouri. Our overall response rate was roughly 10% in 24 hours, and the initiative successfully connected tens of thousands of healthcare workers with hospitals in COVID hotspots.

In the fight against COVID-19, IdenX’s rapid response capabilities saved countless lives.

Use Case 2

Mapping Industry Ecosystems

When a global gaming-development company needed to set up developer studios in talent-rich locations, they relied on IdenX to find areas in the world with clusters of appropriately skilled individuals. Using our AI platform, we identified locations with the greatest densities of skilled developers.

Our living map allows us to track the movement of individuals across markets and geographies. This map enables us to visualize:

  • Developers’ career path
  • Geographical variations in compensation data
  • Changing dynamics in the gaming talent market
  • Physical movement of developers on both a local and global scale

In short, IdenX not only pinpointed in real-time the optimal locations for setting up developer studies for this gaming company, but also which locations were the most cost-effective.

Use Case 3

Inferential Mapping—Security Clearance

Not everything you need to know about a prospective employee can be found on a resume. IdenX can discover the kind of vital information that an applicant may have inadvertently omitted.

Our machine learning applications can infer esoteric skills from profiles that, for whatever reason, failed to understand the relevance of that skill. For instance, we can find people with top-secret security clearances even if those people don’t explicitly describe that credential on their resumes.

For one client, we studied 150,000 software engineers who, based on their job titles and industry experience in the Washington, D.C. area, were likely to have a security clearance. We then built an inferential portrait of the qualified candidate pool for our client—an otherwise unmanageable task.

This kind of inferential analysis helps us look beyond listed skills and job titles, and instead infer things like compensation, diversity characteristics, security clearances, and high-performance indicators.
